YECO Smart Video Doorbell Setup: Step-by-Step Guide

Looking to upgrade your home security with a smart doorbell that works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa? The YECO PD-20 lets you monitor your front door, talk to visitors, and receive alerts—all from your phone. In this guide, we'll walk you through setting it up in just a few easy steps.


1. What to Check Before Installation

Before setting up your device, make sure your box includes:

  • YECO PD-20 doorbell unit
  • Rechargeable battery
  • Mounting kit and screws
  • User manual

Charge the device fully before use. Starting with a full battery ensures a smoother setup process.


2. Physical Installation

The YECO PD-20 is designed to fit easily in place of your existing peephole:

  • Remove the screws of your current peephole
  • Align the inner and outer units of the YECO device on each side of the door
  • Secure with the provided screws

No drilling or wiring is needed. Setup usually takes just 5–10 minutes.


3. App Setup & First Configuration

YECO PD-20 works seamlessly with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and the Tuya Smart app. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" app on your smartphone
  2. Open the app and add a new device
  3. Press and hold the "reset" button on the device to enter Wi-Fi pairing mode
  4. Connect to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and complete the pairing

✨ Note: The device supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. 5 GHz networks are not supported.

You can also link the device to Google or Alexa via the Tuya app to enable voice control and view live video on compatible smart displays.


4. Screen & Language Setup

When the device powers on, you’ll be prompted to choose a language. You can select from multiple options including English and Turkish. Basic settings can be managed via the touchscreen.

When the doorbell is pressed, the device rings, the screen wakes up, and you receive an instant alert through the Tuya app.


5. Alerts, Live View & Recording

Once set up:

  • Access the device remotely through the app
  • View live video
  • Get instant alerts when someone presses the bell or when motion is detected

YECO PD-20 features two-way audio, allowing you to speak directly with visitors via the app.

📁 Recordings can be stored via Tuya’s cloud service or locally on a microSD card (depending on the model).


6. Troubleshooting Tips

If you run into connectivity issues:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi password is correct
  • Try restarting the device
  • If needed, remove the device from the app and re-pair
